A Life On The Go

For those of you who follow my Instagram account, you're probably aware that I've been on a world tour since May of last year (2023). It all began when I moved out of my home and carefully packed my belongings into five large boxes, which I placed in storage. Since then, my life has been on the go, with me spending most of my time exploring new places. However, there's one week each month when I have to be back in the office, and those weeks are nothing short of hectic. With less than two hours to spare, I must efficiently pack my luggage for the next leg of my journey. This repetitive process of packing and unpacking has taught me a valuable lesson about the significance of a capsule wardrobe in expressing personal style while minimising the number of clothes I carry.

The Significance Of A Capsule Wardrobe

During my recent visit to Mexico, I had the pleasure of spending a delightful two and half months immersing myself in its vibrant culture. With just one large suitcase and a small carry-on, I had to be strategic in my packing choices, opting for timeless capsule wardrobe pieces. Among the brands that stood out for me was Daidallo, a remarkable Greek sustainable fashion brand. Their collection boasts timeless garments that effortlessly complement one another, allowing for versatile styling suitable for any occasion.

Daidallo

Established in 2022, Daidallo places great emphasis on quality over quantity. They exclusively employ sustainable materials like Tencel in their clothing line, making them an excellent investment for a well-curated capsule wardrobe. Their pieces are designed to last forever, with the exceptional know-how and craftsmanship ensuring that the clothes withstand the test of time. Daidallo believes in forever and aims for their designs to be cherished for years to come.

Handmade Craft

What truly captivated me about Daidallo was their commitment to preserving the art of handmade craft. They recognise the value of these traditional methods and aim to revive and preserve them, not only for creating unique and enduring products but also to be passed on to the next generation, building a legacy of fine craftsmanship. Daidallo launched with the ambition to create an ethical, sustainable, and humanistic fashion brand that embraces the artistry behind each piece.

Sustainable Materials

Sustainability is at the core of Daidallo's material selection. They seek out high-quality, innovative, and durable materials that have a minimal impact on the environment. Their constant search for suitable materials that meet their standards reflects their commitment to creating fashion that is both sustainable and long-lasting.

Traditional Savoir Faire

Daidallo fosters long-lasting relationships with their local partners who produce all their fashion designs. By working closely with these partners, they aim to limit their ecological footprint and build deep and enduring connections. This collaborative approach not only supports local communities but also helps preserve their invaluable knowledge and savoir-faire traditions.

Made-To-Order Approach

The brand's made-to-order approach is another step towards sustainability. They produce all their clothes on demand and in small batches, ensuring that customers receive only what they need and love. This approach reduces excess inventory and waste, providing continuous satisfaction to their customers.

Zero-Waste Mindset

Daidallo also maintains a strict zero-waste mindset in their production process. They keep the leftover pieces from production, repurposing the scraps and creating new garments from them. This commitment to zero waste reflects their dedication to minimising their environmental impact and finding innovative solutions to maximise resource utilisation.

As I continue my travels, I am committed to seeking out brands like Daidallo that prioritise sustainability and support local communities. I hope that through reading my blog, you too can make conscious and sustainable fashion choices.
